This existing yard had a complete makeover to accommodate a family with a contemporary aesthetic. Some of the original front yard hardscape elements remain while the backyard has been completely updated with a modern edge. Mature trees were kept and new hardscape and planting were added. For the hardscape design, a rectilinear pool and spa with shear descent waterfalls, a unique sitting area with tumbled glass fire feature, Ipe deck, and outdoor kitchen and bar accented with Ipe and concrete bring the design home. Although the hardscape is edgy, the garden offers soft borders, lush greens, color accents, and vertical texture for a cozy outdoor retreat.
